Introduction
Ashwini Ayurvedic Medical College & P.G. Centre, Davangere, conducted a Health Check-up Camp and Blood Donation Camp on 16th September 2026 at Anjaneya Temple, Shamanur, Davangere, in association with the Siddaganga Shree Voluntary Blood Donation Centre, Davangere.
The camp was organized with the objective of extending basic healthcare services to the local community and creating awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation.

Activities Conducted
The following activities were carried out during the camp:
- Registration of beneficiaries attending the camp.
- General health check-up and preliminary clinical assessment.
- Assessment and recording of relevant health parameters.

- Health education and awareness regarding preventive healthcare and healthy lifestyle.
- Awareness regarding voluntary blood donation and its importance.
- Assistance to beneficiaries by interns, students and nursing staff.
- Coordination and support for the blood donation activities in association with the voluntary blood donation centre.
- Maintenance of necessary registers and camp-related documentation.
Participation of Interns and Students
The interns and students actively participated in the camp under the guidance of the doctors in charge. They assisted with registration, patient coordination, clinical assessment and other activities required for the smooth functioning of the camp.
The posted interns completed their AEBAS attendance at the college before proceeding to the venue, as instructed. Interns and students also carried their aprons and stethoscopes for the camp.
Coordination and Arrangements
The doctors in charge ensured that the required medical equipment and registers were collected before departure to the camp venue. The camp team worked in coordination to ensure the systematic delivery of healthcare services and smooth conduct of the blood donation activity.
Outcome
The camp provided an opportunity for the institution to reach out to the local community and provide basic healthcare services. It also promoted awareness regarding voluntary blood donation and encouraged community participation in blood donation activities.
The involvement of faculty members, interns, students and nursing staff provided valuable practical exposure to the students and interns while contributing to community-oriented healthcare services.
Conclusion
The Health Check-up Camp and Blood Donation Camp conducted on 16-09-2026 at Anjaneya Temple, Shamanur, Davangere, in association with Siddaganga Shree Voluntary Blood Donation Centre, Davangere, was successfully carried out.
The programme contributed to community health awareness, basic healthcare delivery and promotion of voluntary blood donation. The active participation of the faculty, interns, students and nursing staff supported the effective conduct of the camp.
