Introduction
Ashwini Ayurvedic Medical College & P.G. Centre, Davangere, conducted a Health Check-up Camp and Blood Donation Camp on 16th September 2026 at Sree Ram Yuva Sene 2nd Bus Stop, Vidyanagara, Davanagere, in association with the Siddaganga Shree Voluntary Blood Donation Centre, Davanagere.
The camp was organized with the objective of providing basic healthcare services to the local community and promoting awareness regarding voluntary blood donation.

Activities of the Camp
The Health Check-up Camp and Blood Donation Camp included the following activities:
- Registration and preliminary assessment of beneficiaries.
- General health check-up and clinical assessment under the supervision of the doctors.
- Identification of common health concerns and provision of appropriate medical advice.
- Health awareness and guidance regarding preventive healthcare.
- Promotion of voluntary blood donation and awareness regarding its importance.
- Assistance by interns, students and nursing staff in the smooth conduct of camp activities.
- Maintenance of necessary registers and camp-related documentation.
The doctors in charge supervised the clinical activities, while interns and students assisted in patient assessment, registration and other camp-related duties.
Role of Interns and Students
The posted interns and students actively participated in the camp activities under the guidance of the faculty members. They assisted in the organization of the camp and supported the medical team in providing healthcare services to the beneficiaries.
The interns were instructed to complete their AEBAS attendance at the college before proceeding to the camp, and all posted interns and students were instructed to carry their apron and stethoscope.
Equipment and Documentation
The doctors in charge ensured that the necessary equipment and registers were collected before proceeding to the camp venue. The batch in charge was also instructed to submit a consolidated report along with GPS photographs to the college office.
Outcome
The camp provided an opportunity for the institution to extend healthcare services to the community and promote awareness regarding voluntary blood donation. The participation of faculty, interns, students and nursing staff contributed to the organized conduct of the programme.
Conclusion
The Health Check-up Camp and Blood Donation Camp held on 16-09-2026 at Sree Ram Yuva Sene 2nd Bus Stop, Vidyanagara, Davanagere, in association with Siddaganga Shree Voluntary Blood Donation Centre, Davanagere, was organized as a community healthcare and blood donation awareness initiative.
The programme provided valuable community-oriented practical exposure to interns and students while facilitating healthcare services and promoting the importance of voluntary blood donation.
