REPORT ON HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMP AND BLOOD DONATION CAMP

Introduction
Ashwini Ayurvedic Medical College & P.G. Centre, Davanagere, organized a Health Check-up Camp and Blood Donation Camp on 17th September 2026 (Thursday) at Cheluvadi Area, near Aruna Theatre, Davanagere, with the objective of providing basic healthcare services to the local community and creating awareness regarding voluntary blood donation.
The camp was conducted from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM with the active participation of teaching faculty, interns, students and nursing staff.

Activities Conducted
The following activities were carried out during the camp:
- Registration and basic health assessment of beneficiaries.
- General health check-up and preliminary clinical examination.
- Recording of relevant vital parameters.
- Identification of common health complaints and providing appropriate medical advice.
- Consultation and guidance by the doctors in charge.
- Provision of required medicines to eligible beneficiaries.
- Health education and awareness regarding preventive healthcare and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Awareness regarding the importance of voluntary blood donation.
- Facilitation of blood donation activities with appropriate medical supervision.
- Guidance to the public regarding follow-up and further medical consultation whenever required.
The interns and students actively assisted the doctors and nursing staff in registration, examination, patient assistance, health education and other camp-related activities.
Participation and Coordination
The camp was successfully coordinated through the combined efforts of the teaching faculty, interns, students and nursing staff. The team ensured that the required medicines and basic medical materials were arranged in advance from the college and made available at the camp venue.
The interns and students attended the camp in prescribed apron and carried stethoscopes as instructed. The interns also completed the required AEBAS attendance at the college before attending the camp.
Outcome
The health check-up camp provided an opportunity for the local community in and around the Cheluvadi area to access basic healthcare services and receive medical advice. The blood donation activity also contributed towards creating awareness about voluntary blood donation and its importance in supporting patients requiring blood and blood components.
The active involvement of faculty, interns, students and nursing staff contributed to the smooth and effective conduct of the programme.
Conclusion
The Health Check-up Camp and Blood Donation Camp conducted on 17-09-2026 at Cheluvadi Area, Near Aruna Theatre, Davanagere was successfully completed. The programme served as a community-oriented healthcare initiative and provided valuable practical exposure to interns and students while contributing to public health awareness.
