Introduction

The 80th Independence Day Celebration was organized with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at Ayurvedic Medical College & P.G. Centre, Davangere, on 15th August 2026. The programme was conducted to commemorate India's Independence and to inculcate the values of patriotism, unity, discipline, national responsibility, and service among the students and staff.

Programme Proceedings

The programme commenced at 8:00 AM in the presence of the Chairman, Principal, teaching staff, non-teaching staff, students, postgraduate scholars, interns, and other members of the college community.

The National Flag was hoisted with due respect and honour, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The ceremony created an atmosphere of patriotism and national pride among all the participants.

The Principal addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of Independence Day, the sacrifices of the freedom fighters, and the responsibilities of every citizen towards the progress and development of the nation. Students were encouraged to uphold discipline, integrity, compassion, and dedication in their academic, professional, and social lives.

As part of the Independence Day celebration, the institution honoured the following distinguished individuals:

Their contribution and association with the institution were acknowledged during the celebration, and they were felicitated in the presence of the college community.

Cultural and Patriotic Activities

The students and staff actively participated in various patriotic and cultural activities. Patriotic songs, speeches, and other presentations added enthusiasm and spirit to the celebration.

The activities emphasized the importance of freedom, unity, national integration, and service to society. The role of Ayurveda and future healthcare professionals in serving the nation and contributing to the well-being of society was also highlighted.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Chairman, Principal, teaching staff, non-teaching staff, undergraduate students, postgraduate scholars, interns, and other members of the college community.

The presence and active involvement of all the participants contributed significantly to the successful conduct of the Independence Day celebration.

The Independence Day celebration concluded on a patriotic and positive note. The programme provided an opportunity for the entire college community to remember the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and reaffirm their commitment towards the progress and development of the nation.

The celebration was successfully conducted with a spirit of patriotism, unity, discipline, and national pride, under the guidance of Dr. Mruthyunjay Hiremath, Chairman, and Dr. Muktha M.H, Principal.
